"It all started six years ago when I was introduced to horse archery. I started to dig deeper and deeper in the life, traditions and culture of my Hungarian ancestors. I wanted to wear what they wore, wanted to use artifacts they used… so I created my first pointy hat, my quiver, my belt and other accessories. Using the patterns my ancestors used, took me back in time. I felt I relived the past. I started to make jewelry with these motifs, than belts, bags, quivers. There is no stopping any more. I like to use museum findings for ideas and now I create more modern artifacts as well as the traditional ones using similar techniques. I went back to my country to learn from folk art masters every year and I also though myself and added my creativity to the process. Turul Leatherworks was born and people started to buy my art and it makes me very happy."
