About the event

This panel discussion with the festival's artists addresses a prevalent question among the featured creators: what does freedom mean within the artistic realm? As we explore artistic expression as a form of activism, we concentrate on the powerful influence art has in shaping societal narratives and confronting injustices.

The participants in the panel discussion will be Timea Zsedely, Zoi Florosz, Gabriella Toth, Dániel Pálinkás, Prof. Karl Bardosh, Ildikó Kalapács, Gábor Halász, Zsofia Opra-Szabo.


Timea Zsedely, PhD (moderator)


Timea Zsedely was born and raised in Hungary, lives in New York. Timea has been an educator and art critic since 2003 and an organizer and theatre director and producer since 2008. She is founder and owner of 10 Thousand Steps Hungarian Books and artistic director of Pilvax Productions, a Hungarian-American Independent Theater & Film Company for which she has directed and designed international productions of works by contemporary European, mostly Hungarian authors.
